Samantha Mott is an artist, actor and filmmaker from New Zealand and Australia. As a craftsman, she worked with world-acclaimed Weta Workshop making special effects for The Hobbit, Narnia, Man of Steel, District 9 and Elysium, and on other blockbusters in North America. Samantha is also a performer with a passion for adventure sports. She is a sword-fighting instructor for Historical European Martial Arts, specializing in the longsword as well as fighting with the sword and shield or buckler. She also has experience with other forms of self defense. Samantha has acting, stunt fighting, vocal and creature/character movement training from both Australia and New Zealand's national drama schools. She frequently runs workshops and demonstrations on the historical use of the Medieval sword.
