Gemma Bernardina Wilhelmina Maria (Gemma) van Eck (Diepenveen, February 5, 1957) is a Dutch singer who gained fame as a member of girl group Babe.
In 1978 she appeared in the film Doctor Vlimmen. Together with Marnix Kappers she presented the series 'The last round' for the TROS. That earned her an invitation to participate in the theater production 'Showtime' by Mini & Maxi in 1978/1979. Van Eck was part of Babe between 1979 and 1981, producer was Peter Koelewijn, and was succeeded as lead singer by Marga Bult. Van Eck then built up a solo career as a singer; she played in several musicals and performed with Toon Hermans for three years.
