Daphne Wellens (April 17, 1988) is a Belgian actress and singer. Her best-known role was as Leen Avondts in the youth series Spring. From 1998 to 2002 she was a dancer in the Samson & Gert Christmas show. In 2000 she participated in the Belgian version of the musical Pinokkio. And later she was one of the 6 members of the 6 Teens, from 2002 to 2004. Before the 6 Teens were formed, they danced and sang in the back choir in the video clips of Samson and Gert and in those of Big and Betsy.
From October 2009 she plays one of the leading roles in the series De Rodenburgs on VTM as 'Freya'. She can also be seen again in the second season. In 2012 she also appeared in a guest role in the fourth season of Vermist and in the second season of Rox. She plays a supporting role in the Spitsbroers series. She went on to star in Welcome to the Wilton in 2014. She played a number of roles in sketches in Really not OK and had a supporting role in Patrouille Linkeroever and Redbad. In 2017 she had a leading role in the full-length film Charlie and Hannah Go Out, together with her long-time friends Frances Lefebure and Evelien Bosmans.
In 2019 she will be part of the cast of Studio 100's musical '40 -'45, in which she alternately plays Sarah with Nathalie Meskens, Clara Cleymans and Laura Tesoro. She also played the role of Marieke in the Dutch crime series Keizersvrouwen.
