Babul Supriyo (born 15 December 1970) is an Indian playback singer, live performer, television host, actor and politician. He is a Member of Parliament representing Asansol in the 16th and 17th Lok Sabha and currently serving as the Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, in the Union Council of Ministers.

Sayantika Banerjee is an Indian actress who is known for her work in Bengali cinema. She has been praised by the critics for her acting and dance skills. In 2012 she was in the Bengali film Awara, which was commercially successful. She joined Trinamool Congress (TMC), ahead of Assembly elections 2021 in West Bengal.

His first role as a leading character was in the 2007 Bengali movie Nabab Nandini, directed by Haranath Chakraborty, opposite Koel Mallick. He did not sign up for other films until he won the roles in Bhalobasa Bhalobasa and Chirosathi. He later appeared in Le Halua Le and his come back movie Majnu.

Raj Chakraborty (Bengali: রাজ চক্রবর্তী; born 1975) is an Indian film director, actor and producer. A person from a middle-class family background, he was born in Halisahar, West Bengal. He graduated from Rishi Bankim Chandra College, Naihati. He is one of the most commercially successful film-makers in Tollywood. Before directing his debut film, he was busy in Bengali TV. Raj Chakraborty was associated with Zee Bangla's popular laughter show Mirakkel, hosted by Mir, and dance competition Dance Bangla Dance, judged by Mithun Chakraborty, during their initial days. He also directed Star Jalsha's laughter programme I Laugh You.

Mamata Banerjee ( born 5 January 1955) is an Indian politician who is serving as the eighth and current chief minister of the Indian state of West Bengal since 20 May 2011, the first woman to hold the office. Having served many times as a Union Cabinet Minister, Mamata Banerjee became the Chief Minister of West Bengal for the first time in 2011. She founded the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC or TMC) in 1998 after separating from the Indian National Congress, and became its second chairperson later in 2001. She is often referred to as 'Didi' (meaning elder sister in Bengali).

Ashok Dinda (born 25 March 1984) is a former Indian cricketer and as of 2021 a Member of the Legislative Assembly. Dinda is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and represents the Moyna constituency. He played cricket for Bengal and Goa in the Ranji Trophy and for a variety of Indian Premier League sides. He retired from all forms of cricket on 2 February 2021.

Manoj Kumar Tiwary (born 14 November 1985) is an Indian cricketer and politician. He is a right-handed batsman who bowls occasional leg break. Tiwary represents Bengal in domestic cricket and played for Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Kings XI Punjab and Rising Pune Supergiants in the Indian Premier League. He played One Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals for the Indian national cricket team. In 2021, he joined All India Trinamool Congress political party and was elected to the West Bengal Legislative Assembly later in the year.

Chiranjeet, also known as Deepak Chakraborty, is a Bengali Indian actor and director in the Bengali film industry located in Kolkata, West Bengal. He is also a politician and a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Government of West Bengal. He was born on 2 November 1955 at Kolkata. He has got the BFJA award for his film Abaidha in 2002. The film was directed by Gul Bahar Singh.

Firhad Hakim is an Indian politician and the present Minister for Urban Development and the Minister for Municipal Affairs in the Government of West Bengal. He is also an MLA, elected from the Kolkata Port constituency in the West Bengal state assembly election, 2011.

Haji Sk. Nurul Islam (Bengali: হাজী সেখ নুরুল ইসলাম; 11 November 1963 – 25 September 2024) was an Indian politician and an MLA from Trinamool Congress in West Bengal. He was a small-time zari businessman and resident of Chhoto Jagulia village in Barasat.
