Ugandan drama television series

Sanyu is a Ugandan drama television series that premiered on DStv Uganda's Pearl Magic Prime TV on 2 January 2020, at the premiere of MultiChoice Uganda's premium network, Pearl Magic Prime. The series stars Catherine Namugenyi in the lead role as Sanyu, along with Eleanor Nabwiso and Housen Mushema. Sanyu was nominated for Best Television Drama, and Tracy Kababiito was nominated for Best Actress in a Television Drama at the 8th Uganda Film Festival Awards.

Prestige is a Ugandan television drama series produced by Nathan Magooola and starring Nana Kagga, Cleopatra Koheirwe as Jazmine and Eunice respectively, two sisters and ad executives fighting to rise above each other. The series was commissioned by MultiChoice Uganda. It was produced under Ava Juliet productions and premiered on February 8, 2021, on Pearl Magic Prime channel at the launch of the channel.

The Honourables is a Ugandan political satire-drama series that premiered on NTV Uganda on 9 January 2017, starring Hellen Lukoma, Symon Base Kalema, Aisha Kyomuhangi, Philip Luswata, Malaika, Doreen Mirembe, Candy Mutesi, Patricko Mujuuka and singer Stecia Mayanja. The series which was also later picked up by Pearl Magic in 2018 exposes the vices of MPs and other government officials who frequent a local bar in Kampala, showing their greed, corruption, adultery and many other vices.

The Hostel is a Ugandan drama series created by Sabiiti "MMC" Moses and Emanuel "BUUBA" Egwel about the lives of university students in their hostels. The show premiered on NTV Uganda in 2011 and ran for four seasons. The fourth season, which was titled Serenity, saw a fresh new cast in a new hostel. The season premiered on 23 February 2015.

Kyaddala is a Ugandan drama television series by Reach a Hand Uganda. The first season was produced by Emmanuel Ikubese Films and Reach a Hand Uganda. Set in a present day high school life, Kyaddala a Luganda word for "It's Real", focuses on real life social issues that affect young people across Africa and their attempts to overcome those issues. The series features actors and actresses from Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, and Nigeria. Kyaddala premiered on 27 September 2019 at Kingdom Kampala.

Taste of Time is a Ugandan television series created and directed by Richard Nondo for Urban TV Uganda. It stars Ejule Paul, Phiona Birungi, Eyangu James as Michael, Brommie Abrahams, and Douglas Dubois Sebamala as Andy. The series premiered in 2015, and ran for four seasons until its finale in 2018.

Tendo Sisters is a Ugandan drama television series about four orphaned sisters who are left with only a piece of land as their inheritance and the rifts that grow between them as they start a new life without their parents. The series was written, produced and directed by Mariam Ndagire and stars Ndagire, Farida Nabagereka, Sarah Naava, Jamila Mulindwa as the four sisters Kisaakye, Mukisa, Sanyu and Malaika respectively and Annet Nandujja who plays their auntie, Nattendo.

Mela is a Ugandan web television series created and directed by Nana Kagga. It stars Malaika in the lead and her debut acting role as Mela Katende while Daniel Omara, Cleopatra Koheirwe, Lesham Kenogo, Denis Kinani and Marie Corrazon joined in supporting and regular roles. The series was entirely produced at Savannah MOON by producers and sisters Meme and Nana Kagga, who also co-executive produced the series. Nana co-directed the series with Marie Corrazon.

Power of Legacy is a Ugandan drama television series created by Edris Matu Segawa and directed by George Kihumbah. It stars Tania Shakirah Kankindi, Sarah Kisawuzi, Jonan Kisibo, Michael Wawuyo, Housen Mushema as the main cast. The series’ first season premiered on 31 March 2019 on NTV Uganda and the second season premiered September 8, 2019 and aired two episodes per week.

Yat Madit is a Ugandan drama television series that premiered on NTV Uganda on December 8, 2016 and stars award-winners from Uganda Film Festival, including Michael Wawuyo (Senior), Michael Wawuyo Jr., Nisha Kalema, the muti-talented Rehema Nanfuka, Gladys Oyenbot and Patriq Nkakalukanyi. . Its onset director was Irene Kulabako and produced by Media Focus on Africa (MFA).
