Swedish Navy vice admirals

Prince Oscar Carl August Bernadotte, Count of Wisborg (15 November 1859 – 4 October 1953) was a Swedish religious activist, the second son of King Oscar II of Sweden and his consort, Sofia of Nassau. Born as a Prince of Sweden and Norway, after the Norwegian secession from Sweden, he was known as Prince Oscar, Duke of Gotland. However, by marrying contrary to Swedish constitutional requirements, he lost those titles, becoming instead Luxembourgish nobility as Prince Bernadotte and Count of Wisborg.

Vice Admiral Frank Enver Rosenius (born 2 June 1940) is a retired Swedish Navy officer. Rosenius senior commands include chief of the Coastal Fleet from 1994 to 1998 and Deputy Supreme Commander from 1998 to 2000. Rosenius also served as chief of the His Majesty's Military Staff from 2003 to 2007.

Carl Olof Cronstedt the elder (3 October 1756 – 7 April 1820) was a Swedish naval commander responsible for the overwhelming Swedish victory at the Second Battle of Svensksund, one of the largest naval battles in history. He is often better remembered, however, as the commander of the fortress of Sveaborg (Finnish: Suomenlinna) during the Finnish War in 1808–09, which was fought between Sweden and Imperial Russia, and ended in Cronstedt surrendering the fortress.

Fredrik Henrik af Chapman (9 September 1721 in Gothenburg – 19 August 1808) was a Swedish shipbuilder, scientist and officer in the Swedish navy. He was also manager of the Karlskrona shipyard 1782-1793. Chapman is credited as the world's first person to apply scientific methods to shipbuilding and is considered to be the first naval architect.

Count Baltzar Bogislaus von Platen (29 May 1766 – 6 December 1829) was a Swedish naval officer and statesman. He was born on the island of Rügen (now Germany) to Philip Julius Bernhard von Platen, Field Marshal and the Swedish Governor General of Pomerania, and Regina Juliana von Usedom.

Knut Gunnar Bjurner (10 January 1882 – 28 January 1964) was a senior Swedish Navy officer. Bjurner commanded three different coastal defence ships, headed Karlskrona Shipyard (1931–1936) and commanded the Winter Squadron (1933–1934) as well as the South Coast Naval District (1936–1938). Bjurner is mostly known for his work within the Royal Swedish Naval Materiel Administration, which he headed from 1938 to 1943.

Vice Admiral Axel Gunnar Jedeur-Palmgren (4 November 1899 – 6 March 1996) was a Swedish Navy officer. Lagerman served as Vice Chief of the Royal Swedish Naval Materiel Administration (1950–1962).

Vice Admiral Albert Hugo Sigurd Lagerman (11 January 1904 – 9 March 1970) was a Swedish Navy officer. Lagerman served as Commanding Admiral of Naval Command South (1958–1961) and was Chief of the Royal Swedish Naval Materiel Administration (1963–1968).

Vice Admiral Carl Holger Holter Henning (30 July 1905 – 4 February 1981) was a Swedish Navy officer. Henning served as Chief of the Military Office of the Ministry of Defence from 1961 to 1970.

Vice Admiral Carl Einar Blidberg (20 September 1906 – 21 March 1993) was a Swedish Navy officer. Blidberg served as Chief of the Naval Staff from 1957 to 1961, Chief of the Coastal Fleet from 1962 to 1966, and as commanding officer of the Naval Command East and the East Coast Naval Base from 1966 to 1971.
