Vesna Vulović (Serbian Cyrillic: Весна Вуловић, 3 January 1950 – 23 December 2016) was a Serbian flight attendant who holds the Guinness world record for surviving the highest fall without a parachute: 10,160 m (33,330 ft; 6.31 mi). She was the sole survivor after a briefcase bomb exploded in the baggage compartment of JAT Flight 367 on 26 January 1972, causing it to crash near Srbská Kamenice, Czechoslovakia. The Yugoslav authorities suspected that Croatian nationalists were to blame, but no one was ever arrested.

Dejan Nebrigić (Pancevo, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia, December 29, 1970 - Pancevo, December 29, 1999) was a Serbian gay and peace activist, writer and theatre critic. He was known as the initiator of the first trial of homophobic discrimination in Serbia. He was one of the founders of the LGBT movement in Serbia.

Stanislava Staša Zajović (born 1953 in Nikšić, Yugoslavia, today Montenegro) is a Montenegrin peace activist. She is the co-founder and coordinator of Women in Black in Belgrade, Serbia.

Vladimir Štimac (Serbian: Владимир Штимац, born August 25, 1987) is a Serbian professional basketball player who plays for Qingdao Eagles of the Chinese Basketball Association. He also represented the Serbian national team internationally. Standing at 2.11 m (6 ft 11 in), he plays the center position.

Biljana Stojković (Serbian Cyrillic: Биљана Стојковић; born 6 October 1972) is a Serbian biologist, activist, and professor at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Biology. Stojković was the candidate of the We Must coalition in the 2022 presidential election.

Dolores Al Shelleh is an Emirati-based Jordanian-Serbian mountaineer and activist who currently lives in Dubai, UAE. She was the first woman from Jordan to summit the Mount Everest, which she achieved in 2019, a year which marked many deadly Mount Everest expeditions.

Predrag Azdejković (Serbian: Предраг Аздејковић; 15 July 1978) is Serbian LGBT human rights activist, journalist, writer, film and theater producer. Azdejković is director of Gay Lesbian Info Center, director of Merlinka festival, editor in chief of Serbian only gay magazine Optimist, producer of several short films and documentaries and several award winning theater plays that all are dedicated to LGBT population. He is a member of Journalists' Association of Serbia.

Miodrag Linta (Serbian Cyrillic: Миодраг Линта; born 1969) is a Serbian politician and activist. He is a prominent figure representing the interests of Serbs expelled from Croatia during the Yugoslav Wars of the 1990s. Linta has also been a member of the National Assembly of Serbia since 2012, serving as a member of the parliamentary group of the Serbian Progressive Party, although he is not a party member.

Ljubica Ivošević Dimitrov (17 July 1884 – 27 May 1933) was a Serbian and Bulgarian textile worker, labour activist, newspaper editor and the first Serbian proletarian poet.

Srđa M. Popović (24 February 1937 – 29 October 2013) was a Yugoslav lawyer and political activist.
