Jamie Henderson (born January 1, 1979) is a former American Football player (NFL). He played cornerback at the University of Georgia and was drafted in the 4th round of the 2001 draft by The New York Jets. He played for the New York Jets from 2001–2003. He is the cousin of American football player, Reggie Brown for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL. He has two sons, Jalen Lyght Henderson (born 4-2-02) and Jamie Isaiah Henderson (born 10-2-04) . Henderson attended Carrollton High School, as well as Reggie Brown, and played for the Carrollton Trojan football team.

William Michael Tolbert (born November 23, 1985) is a former American football fullback. He was signed by the San Diego Chargers as an undrafted free agent in 2008. He played college football for Coastal Carolina University. He has also been a member of the Carolina Panthers, where he was a three-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro. He signed with the Buffalo Bills in 2017 after being released by the Carolina Panthers.

Charles Jerry Vines (born September 1937) is an American preacher and former pastor of what was then the nation's third largest Southern Baptist church, the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida. Like his former co-pastor Homer G. Lindsay Jr., Vines is well known for his conservative and sometimes controversial public stances, as well as his wide-reaching influence in the Southern Baptist Convention and the local political arena. He retired from the First Baptist pulpit on February 7, 2006, and was succeeded by Mac Brunson. On February 4, 2007, Brunson named Vines Pastor Emeritus of the church.

Charles Emory "Red" Roberts (August 8, 1918 – December 2, 1998) was a Major League Baseball player. Roberts played for the Washington Senators in 1943. He batted and threw right-handed.

Terry Boyd (born October 31, 1969) is an American former basketball player. He played for Western Carolina University from 1990–91 to 1991–92 and was the Southern Conference co-Player of the Year as a senior. That year, he led the Catamounts in scoring 22.8 points per game) and rebounding (5.8 per game). Boyd was also a two-time All-SoCon Tournament Team in 1991 and 1992. Prior to Western Carolina, Boyd spent two seasons playing at Southern Union State Community College in Wadley, Alabama. Through 2012–13, Boyd still holds the Western Carolina record for three-pointers made per game in a season (3.35). His 23.32 points per game career average is third all-time in school history.

James Emory "Jim" Boyd (July 18, 1906 – February 18, 1998) was an American physicist, mathematician, and academic administrator. He was director of the Georgia Tech Research Institute from 1957 to 1961, president of West Georgia College (now the University of West Georgia) from 1961 to 1971, and acting president of the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1971 to 1972.

Don Wix (born May 14, 1946 in Carrollton, Georgia) was a member of the General Assembly (state house of representatives) in the U.S. state of Georgia. Wix is a Democrat who represented District 33, which encompasses parts of southern Cobb County, from 1997 to 2010.
