    La Glorieuse is the fifth ship in the P400 class of patrol vessels within the French Navy. It is still in service but is due to be decommissioned in 2020.

    The D'Entrecasteaux class is a class of oceanic patrol ships of the French Navy. The ship's designation is Bâtiment multi-mission in French (B2M, "multi-mission ship") and also dubbed the "Swiss Army knife of the Navy", the type of ships is designed to perform sovereignty, law enforcement and logistics missions (such as policing illegal fishing, traffics and mining; assisting distressed ships, and search and rescue; and contributing to the logistics of Overseas collectivities) from, replacing the aging BATRAL-class landing ships in this role.

    The Confiance class or Patrouilleurs Antilles Guyane (PAG), previously called "Patrouilleurs légers guyanais" (PLG, "Light Guyane patrol vessel") until January 2019 is a type of high sea patrol vessel developed and built by Socarenam based upon plans by Mauric. They are in service with the French Navy.

    The Patrouilleurs Outre-mer (POM), or Félix Éboué class, are a type of six high-sea patrol vessels of the French Navy. They are to be based at Nouméa, Tahiti and La Réunion, as replacement for the P400-class patrol vessels which are nearing the end of their career. The POM are far larger, with a 1,300-ton displacement fully loaded, and a wider range or capabilities. They are being commissioned with the Navy between 2023 and 2025.

    La Combattante (P730) ("The Fighter") was a fast patrol vessel of the French Navy. She was built in 1963 and was to be the prototype for a class of coastal patrol craft. La Combattante was operational in the French Navy from 1963 until 1985, when she was transferred to the French Coast Guard. She was discarded in 1994.

    The P400 patrol ships are small vessels of the French Navy. They were designed to accomplish police operations in the French Exclusive Economic Zone. They were built by the Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie, which specialise in small military craft. Two similar ships are in service in Gabon. The P400 were originally designed in two versions: one armed with Exocet MM38 missiles, and another public service version with a smaller 16-man complement; eventually neither of these versions was commissioned as the Navy chose an intermediate version.

    Patrouilleurs Hauturiers (English: Offshore Patrol Vessel), often shortened to PH, is a program to design and build 10 long-range patrol boats for the French Navy. Formerly known as the Patrouilleurs Océanique (PO) program, the ships will replace various aging patrol vessels in a wide variety of tasks off France. Development began in 2020 and construction will occur in two batches, with all ships expected to be in service by 2035.

    Athos is a patrol vessel that was originally built for the French Navy. The pair of patrol vessels, Athos and Aramis, were sponsored by the commune of Auch in Gers until 2012. The commune of Saint-Martin-Sainte-Catherine in Creuse, has been the sponsor since 23 February 2013. Athos was transferred to the Maritime Gendarmerie at the beginning of 2016. The only French Navy vessel to be entirely made of beech wood, her hull is capable of withstanding M5 model 4 style torpedoes.
