Bharatendu Harishchandra (9 September 1850 – 6 January 1885) is known as the father of Hindi literature as well as Hindi theatre. He is considered one of the greatest Hindi writers of modern India. A recognised poet, he was a trendsetter in Hindi prose-writing. He was an author of several dramas, life sketches and travel accounts; he used new media like reports, publications, letters to the editor, translations and literary works to shape public opinion.

Charul Malik is a leading Hindi-language news anchor and journalist from India, who has now joined India TV as an anchor and executive producer. Before this she worked with Aaj Tak as an associate editor and anchor in Mumbai.

Dharamvir Bharati (25 December 1926 – 4 September 1997) was a renowned Hindi poet, author, playwright and a social thinker of India. He was the chief editor of the popular Hindi weekly magazine Dharmayug, from 1960 till 1987.

Aman Sethi (Hindi : अमन सेठी) is an Indian journalist and writer. At present he is the editor-in-chief of HuffPost India He is known for his debut A Free Man, a work of narrative reportage. Born in 1983 in Mumbai, Sethi completed his schooling at Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. He went on to study chemistry at St. Stephen's College, Delhi before moving on to study journalism at Asian College of Journalism, Chennai and business journalism in 2008 at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism as an Inlaks Scholar. As Chhattisgarh correspondent for The Hindu newspaper Sethi reported extensively on Maoist insurgency in the state for two years. He also won the International Red Cross committee award for the best Indian print media article on humanitarian issues in 2011.

Ram Bahadur Rai is a senior Hindi journalist. He is Former news editor of Hindi daily Jansatta. He has authored and edited several books. He is known for some impressive biographies, written in Hindi, namely Shashwat Vidrohi Rajneta based on life and acts of Gandhian socialist Acharya J. B. Kripalani, Rahvari ke Sawal on Chandrashekhar and Manjil se Jyada Safar on V P Singh. He was a close associate of the Indian freedom fighter and political leader Jayaprakash Narayan and was also part of a Steering Committee of JP Movement.

Alok Mehta (born 7 September 1952) is an Indian journalist, TV broadcaster and writer . In 2009, he received the civilian honour of Padma Shri from the Government of India. Mehta's work has focused on issues of social welfare, including education for minorities and healthcare facilities.

Sanjay Pugalia is a veteran Indian political and business journalist with print and broadcast experience who is the former editor-in-chief of CNBC Awaaz in Mumbai, India. He was hired as a senior news director by several start-up Hindi-language news channels at their launching, including Star News and CNBC Awaaz.

Bhagwati Dhar Vajpayee (Died May 6, 2021) was an Indian journalist. He was the founder and editor-in-chief of Yuga Dharma, a Hindi daily newspaper. In 2006, he was awarded the Manikchandra Vajpayee National Journalism Award by the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The award was presented by the Public Relations Minister and Chhattisgarh Culture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal.

Urmilesh Singh or Urmilesh Urmil, popularly known by his first name Urmilesh is an Indian journalist, television anchor and author.

Yashwant Vyas is an Indian author, journalist and editor. He is Group adviser to Amar Ujala Newspaper group and founder , Antara Infomedia. Known for his experimental approach, he has been associated with many prestigious news groups. As editor , he had been heading an Indian multilingual portal group in the 1990s and three prestigious national newspapers. Besides regular columns in print Yashwant Vyas has published more than twelve books, written scripts, translated and edited works. One of his laudable experiments in Hindi print was Aha!Zindagi, the first positive life magazine of its unique style.
