Former PGA Tour events

The Chicago Open was a golf tournament played in the Chicago area. A Chicago District Open was first held in 1914. From 1926 to 1928 it became a national event. It was held again from 1937 to 1941, although there was no event in 1939. The Hale America National Open Golf Tournament was held in Chicago in 1942 and the Chicago Victory Open was played from 1943 to 1948. It was revived again as the Gleneagles-Chicago Open Invitational in 1958 and 1959.

The Palmetto Championship at Congaree was a PGA Tour stroke play event that was played for the first time from June 10–13, 2021 at Congaree Golf Club in Gillisonville near Ridgeland, South Carolina. The event was announced April 2, 2021 and was a one-time event, as a replacement to the 2021 RBC Canadian Open which was canceled due to logistical challenges related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Workday Charity Open was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour played in 2020, intended to serve as a one-time replacement for the John Deere Classic, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was played at Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio, the week before the Memorial Tournament, hosted at the same venue. Spectators were not allowed due to the ongoing pandemic.

The Nassau Open was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour from 1934 to 1937. It was inaugurated as the British Colonial Open, and was played at the Bahamas Golf Club in Nassau, in The Bahamas. Having been rescheduled, the fifth edition of the tournament was then cancelled shortly before it was due to be staged in January 1939.

The Nassau Bahamas Open was a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour that was held in March 1928. It was played at the Bahamas Country Club in Nassau in The Bahamas.

The Cavalcade Of Golf was a PGA Tour event that was played at the Shackamaxon Country Club in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. It was played for only a single year – 1955.

The Shawnee Open was a golf tournament that was first held in 1912. It was played at The Shawnee Inn & Golf Resort in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The course was completed in 1911, the first design by renowned architect A. W. Tillinghast. The Shawnee Open was recognized as a PGA Tour event from 1916 to 1937. While no longer recognized as a PGA Tour event, there have been more than 60 Shawnee Opens played. It was sponsored by the Philadelphia section of the PGA of America.

The Mountain View Open was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour. It was played only one year, 1964, at the Mountain View Country Club in Corona, California. The tournament was won by Jack McGowan, his only PGA Tour win, by four strokes over R. H. Sikes.

The Virginia Open is the Virginia state open golf tournament, open to both amateur and professional golfers. It is organized by the Virginia State Golf Association and the Middle Atlantic section of the PGA of America. It has been played annually since 1924 (except for war years) at a variety of courses around the state. From 1958 to 1984, both organizations held an Open, with the one sponsored by the PGA generally known as the Virginia PGA Open. The tournament was considered a PGA Tour event in at least 1936 and 1946.

The Durham Open was a golf tournament on the PGA Tour that was played three times from 1944 to 1945. The tournament was held at the Hope Valley Country Club in Durham, North Carolina. Each tournament had a purse of $5,000 with a winner's share of $1,000 (cash value of war bonds).
