    Jaroslav Kozlík (22 May 1907 – 21 October 2012) was a Czech educator and theorist of education, a senior member of the Sokol movement, a pioneer and a former volleyball champion in Czechoslovakia. He was the author of 30 books and over 300 articles, mostly devoted to the theory of education and sports organizations. Kozlík developed the concept of physical education for elementary schools in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2009, he was named an honorary citizen of Prague 4, the largest city district of Prague. Until his death, Kozlík was active in the Sokol organization, criticizing its current administration for a lack of edificatory impingement on society and youth.

    Milena Hübschmannová (1933-2005) was Czech professor of Romani studies at Charles University of Prague. She was one of the leading experts on Romani society and culture, as well as Romani language. She founded the academic study program on the Roma at Charles University and actively opposed their assimilation into the greater culture. She wrote a Romani-Czech and Czech-Romani dictionary and collected many of the stories of the Roma, translating them for posterity. The program she founded was the first program worldwide to offer a degree program to undergraduates in Romani Studies.

    Eliška Krásnohorská (18 November 1847 in Prague – 26 November 1926 in Prague) was a Czech feminist author. She was introduced to literature and feminism by Karolína Světlá. She wrote works of lyric poetry and literary criticism, however, she is usually associated with children's literature and translations, including works by Pushkin, Mickiewicz and Byron.

    Oskar Baum (January 21, 1883 in Pilsen – March 20, 1941 in Prague) was a Czech music educator and writer. Baum was the son of a Jewish cloth goods merchant in Plzen. He suffered with vision problems from the time of his birth. At eight, he lost the sight in one eye and at the age of eleven, during a scuffle, he lost his sight completely. Since he could no longer participate in the school, the class teacher sent him to Vienna to the Israelite Institute for the Blind, a high school. There he trained as a music consultant and learned the organ and piano. In 1902, he put aside his teaching degree and returned to Prague. Baum earned his living as an organist and cantor in a synagogue; later he became a piano teacher.
