Badminton players at the 2022 Asian Games

Pusarla Venkata Sindhu, popularly known as PV Sindhu, (born 5 July 1995) is an Indian badminton player. Considered one of India's most successful sportspersons, Sindhu has won medals at various tournaments such as the Olympics and on the BWF circuit, including a gold at the 2019 World Championships. She is the first and only Indian to become the badminton world champion and only the second individual athlete from India to win two consecutive medals at the Olympic Games. She rose to a career-high world ranking of No. 2 in April 2017.

Ashwini Ponnappa Machimanda (born 18 September 1989) is an Indian badminton player who represents the country at the international badminton circuit in both the women's and mixed doubles disciplines. She had a successful partnership with Jwala Gutta as the pair has won many medals in international events including a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and bronze medals at the Uber Cup and the Asian Badminton Championships. They were consistently ranked among the top 20 in the BWF World Ranking reaching as high as no. 10. Ponnappa and Gutta also won the bronze medal at the BWF World Championships in 2011, becoming the first Indian pair and women and only the second overall to win a medal at the World Championships.

Tanisha Crasto (born 5 May 2003) is a Goan badminton player. In 2016, she won the women's doubles event at the Bahrain International Challenge partnered with Aprilsasi Putri Lejarsar Variella. In 2017, she created history by winning the Indian Club UAE Open tournament in the women's singles event after beat Negin Amiripour of Iran when she was 14 years old. She also a part of the Prime Star Sports Academy club to win the Shuttle Time Dubai Club Badminton Championship.

Chae Yoo-jung (Korean: 채유정, Hanja: 蔡侑玎, born 9 May 1995) is a South Korean badminton player. She is the daughter of former singles player Kim Bok-sun. Chae was a part of the Korean national team that won the world mixed team championships at the 2017 Sudirman Cup.

Liu Yuchen (Chinese: 刘雨辰; pinyin: Liú Yǔchén, born 25 July 1995) is a Chinese badminton player. He was the men's doubles World Champion in 2018, also two times Asian Champion in 2017 and 2018 partnered with Li Junhui. Liu was part of the national team member that won the 2018 Asian Games, 2018 Thomas Cup and 2019 Sudirman Cup. Together with Li, he achieved the men's doubles world number 1 in 6 April 2017, and occupied the top ranking for ten weeks.

Jia Yifan (Chinese: 贾一凡; pinyin: Jiǎ Yīfán; Mandarin pronunciation: born 29 June 1997) is a Chinese badminton player. She won gold medals at the 2017 World Championships, 2018 Asian Games and at the 2019 Asian Championships.

Huang Yaqiong (Chinese: 黄雅琼; pinyin: Huáng Yăqióng, born 28 February 1994) is a Chinese badminton player who specializes in doubles. She won the prestigious All England Open in 2017 partnered with Lu Kai, and in 2019 with Zheng Siwei. Together with Lu, she emerged as the champion at the 2017 Asian Championships. With her current partner Zheng, she won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games, and claimed the BWF World Championships titles in 2018 and 2019. Huang was awarded as Female Player of the Year by the BWF in 2018 and 2019.

Busanan Ongbamrungphan (Thai: บุศนันท์ อึ๊งบำรุงพันธ์; born 22 March 1996) is a Thai badminton player who specializes in singles. She competed at the 2014 and 2018 Asian Games. She graduated with bachelor of sport sciences degree from Chulalongkorn University.

Tai Tzu-ying (Chinese: 戴資穎; pinyin: Dài Zīyǐng; Wade–Giles: Tai Tzu-ying; born 20 June 1994) is a Taiwanese professional badminton player. At the age of 22, she became world No. 1 in the women's singles on December 2016, and holds the record for most weeks ranked at the top in BWF history with 148 weeks (as of 17 March 2020).

An Se-young (Korean: 안세영; Hanja: 安洗瑩; born 5 February 2002) is a South Korean badminton player from Gwangju, who was awarded as 2019 Most Promising Player of the Year by the BWF.
