Alternative for Germany politicians

Alice Elisabeth Weidel (born 6 February 1979) is a German politician and has been the Leader of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the Bundestag since October 2017. She has been a member of the Bundestag (MdB) since the 2017 federal election during which she was the AfD's lead candidate together with Alexander Gauland. Since November 30, 2019, she has been the deputy federal spokeswoman for her party and, since February 2020, chairwoman of the AfD state association in Baden-Württemberg.

Frauke Petry (née Marquardt; born 1 June 1975) is a German politician who chaired the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party from 4 July 2015 to 29 September 2017. A chemist by training and with a professional background as a businesswoman, some political scientists described Petry as a representative of the national conservative wing of that party.

Wiebke Muhsal (born 6 April 1986 in Lüdinghausen) is a German politician with the Alternative für Deutschland (AfD). Since 2014, she is a member of the Landtag of Thuringia and deputy chairman of the AfD caucus. She is also her party's critic on family and education policy and is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Youth and Sports.

Detlev Spangenberg (born 10 April 1944) is a German politician who represents the Alternative for Germany (AfD). He has served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Saxony since 2017.

Corinna Miazga (born 17 May 1983) is a German politician. Born in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony, she represents Alternative for Germany (AfD). Corinna Miazga has served as a member of the Bundestag from the state of Bavaria since 2017.

Björn Höcke (born 1 April 1972) is a German politician and a member of Alternative for Germany (AfD). Along with Andreas Kalbitz, Höcke is the leader of the AfD's far-right "Der Flügel" faction, which the German government's Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution declared a right-wing extremist organization.

Eberhardt Alexander Gauland (born 20 February 1941) is a German politician, journalist and lawyer who has served as leader of the German political party Alternative for Germany (AfD) in the Bundestag since September 2017 and co-leader of the party from December 2017 to November 2019. He has been a Member of the Bundestag (MdB) since September 2017. Gauland was the party's co-founder and was its federal spokesman from 2017 to 2019 and the party leader for the state of Brandenburg from 2013 to 2017.

Beatrix Amelie Ehrengard Eilika von Storch (née Duchess of Oldenburg; 27 May 1971) is a German politician who has been Deputy Leader of the Alternative for Germany since July 2015 and Member of the Bundestag since September 2017. She previously was Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Germany. She belongs ancestrally to the royal House of Oldenburg which reigned over the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg until 1918.

Hans-Olaf Henkel (born 14 March 1940) is a German politician, a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Germany and a publicist. He was formerly a manager at IBM, president of the Federation of German Industries (BDI) and president of the Leibniz Association. After decades as a political observer, he was elected to the European Parliament in 2014 for the AfD. In response to the election of Frauke Petry as the new federal chairman in July 2015, he resigned from the AfD. He is now an independent member of the European Conservatives and Reformists.

Thomas Jung (1 November 1957 – September 2022) was a German politician. A member of Alternative for Germany, he served in the Landtag of Brandenburg from 2014 to 2019.
