Michael Ballack (born 26 September 1976) is a German retired professional footballer. He is among the top goal scorers in the history of the German national team. Ballack wore the number 13 shirt for every team he has played for, except from 1. FC Kaiserslautern. He was selected by Pelé as one of FIFA's 100 Greatest Living Players, and as the UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year in 2002. He won the German Footballer of the Year award three times – in 2002, 2003 and 2005. Ballack was known for his passing range, powerful shot, physical strength and commanding presence in midfield.

Marco Reus (born 31 May 1989) is a German professional footballer who plays for and captains Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund and the Germany national team.

Lukas Josef Podolski (born Łukasz Józef Podolski on 4 June 1985) is a German professional footballer who plays as a forward for Turkish team Antalyaspor. Famed for his powerful and accurate left foot, he is known for his explosive shot, technique and probing attacks from the left side.

Benjamin Jacques Marcel Pavard (born 28 March 1996) is a French professional footballer who plays as a right back for Bayern Munich and the France national team. Although usually deployed as a centre-back, he is also capable of playing as a right-back.

Erik Durm (born 12 May 1992) is a German professional footballer who plays as a full-back for Eintracht Frankfurt. He made his senior debut for the Germany national team in 2014, and later that year was part of their squad which won the World Cup.

Demba Ba (born 25 May 1985) is a professional footballer who plays as a striker for Turkish club İstanbul Başakşehir and the Senegal national team.

Mario Gómez García (born 10 July 1985) is a German former professional footballer who played as a striker. He represented the Germany national team over a period of 11 years between 2007 and 2018.

Joachim "Jogi" Löw (born 3 February 1960) is a German football coach and former player. He is the head coach of the Germany national team, which he led to victory at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil and the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.

Rudolf "Rudi" Völler (born 13 April 1960), nicknamed "Tante Käthe" ("Aunt Käthe"), is a German former professional football player and manager who serves as the sporting director for Bayer Leverkusen.
