Sex and Zen (Chinese: 玉蒲團之偷情寶鑑, The Carnal Prayer Mat's Stash of Illicit Love) is a 1991 Hong Kong erotic sex comedy film directed by Michael Mak, and starring Amy Yip and Lawrence Ng. The film is loosely based on The Carnal Prayer Mat, a Chinese erotic novel by seventeenth-century author and playwright Li Yu.

The Addams Family is a 1991 American supernatural black comedy film based on the characters from the cartoon created by cartoonist Charles Addams and the 1964 television series produced by David Levy. Fried Green Tomatoes is a 1991 American comedy-drama film directed by Jon Avnet and based on Fannie Flagg's 1987 novel Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. Written by Flagg and Carol Sobieski, and starring Kathy Bates, Jessica Tandy, Mary Stuart Masterson, Mary-Louise Parker and Cicely Tyson, the film tells the story of a middle-aged housewife who, unhappy with her life, befriends an elderly lady in a nursing home and is enthralled by the tales she tells of people she used to know.

Beauty and the Beast is a 1991 American animated musical romantic fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It is based on the 1756 fairy tale by Jeanne-Marie Leprince de Beaumont, in turn an abridged version of the 1740 story by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve. The film also incorporates ideas from the 1946 French film directed by Jean Cocteau. The film was directed by Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise (in their feature directorial debuts), and produced by Don Hahn, from a screenplay by Linda Woolverton.

The Commitments is a 1991 musical comedy-drama film based on the 1987 novel of the same name by Roddy Doyle. It was directed by Alan Parker from a screenplay written by Doyle, Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais. Nothing but Trouble is a 1991 American black comedy horror film written and directed by Dan Aykroyd in his directorial debut, based on a story by his brother Peter, and starring Chevy Chase, Dan Aykroyd (in a dual role), John Candy (in a dual role), and Demi Moore. It tells the story of two yuppies and the clients of one of them who are taken to court for running a stop sign in the bizarre, financially bankrupt small town of Valkenvania, which is dominated by a 106-year-old judge. Tupac Shakur made his acting debut as a member of the rap group Digital Underground.

If Looks Could Kill is a 1991 American action comedy film directed by William Dear from a screenplay by Darren Star and a story by Fred Dekker. It stars Richard Grieco as a high school student who is mistaken for an agent and people try to kill him. It also stars Linda Hunt, Roger Rees, Robin Bartlett, and Gabrielle Anwar.
